About Galgotia University India

The Galgotia University, Noida Uttar Pradesh, was founded by the state of Uttar Pradesh under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, by the Galgotia University Uttar Pradesh Act, 14 of 2011. It is supported by the Smt. Shakuntala Educational and Welfare Society. In July of 2011, Galgotia University welcomed the first class of about 1,700 undergraduate and post-graduate students. The university now has more than 15000 students in the year 2021. Galgotia University wants to be an internationally known university that specialises in multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary teaching, research, and innovation, producing globally competitive graduates with the potential to become leaders in their fields of endeavour.

Admissions & Selection Procedure 2023

For all of its courses at Galgotia University, the admissions procedure is solely based on merit. Before applying, candidates should make sure they meet the eligibility requirements. They have the option of applying both online and offline. The steps to register at GU are as follows:

Online mode

• Step 1: Go to the university's official website of Galgotia university, https://www.galgotiasuniversity.edu.in.
• Step 2: From the home page, select the 'Apply Online' tab and complete the online application form.
• Step 3: After correctly filling out the form, click the 'Submit' icon. The 'Axis Bank payment gateway' will be accessed.
• Step 4: Use your credit or debit card to pay the application fee.
• Step 5: If the application is approved, the system will generate a unique ID for the candidate. You will receive an email/text message confirming your registration.

Offline Mode

Candidates may visit the University's admission office at Galgotia University Plot No.2, Sector 17-A, Yamuna Expressway, Greater Noida, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. After filling up the form, they can pay the registration costs in cash or by making a check payable to 'Galgotias University.' At the time of registration, the candidate will be given an inquiry number. The Galgotia University will provide a merit list of all registered students who meet the minimal eligibility requirements.

Scholarships Galgotias University awards scholarships to deserving students who have made a name for themselves in sports, the performing arts, or literature.

• Merit Scholarships on Admission: These are awarded to students based on their performance in state and national competitive exams.
• During the programme, there are merit scholarships available: This is given to students every year in the second year based on their first-year performance.
• Merit-Cum-Means Scholarships: This is available to students who are economically disadvantaged or have special needs.

GU Library: The library is well-stocked with books, print journals, national and international periodicals, and CDs/DVDs covering a wide range of topics in engineering, management, medical and allied sciences, humanities, social sciences, and related fields. 63236 books, 730 national journals, 485 international journals, 4513 e-books, and 3122 CDs and DVDs are among the library's holdings.

GU Hostel: The campus hostels are surrounded by lush green grass and playing grounds.
