Seat Reservations The following are the fees for several categories:

Category Fee

SC / ST / PwD INR 15,000

The following rules will govern joint seat allocation:

  • If the chosen candidates do not pay the seat acceptance fee or decline the admission before the deadline, their application will be cancelled. These empty seats will be filled in following rounds of seat distribution.
  • If an application is offered his or her FIRST choice of institute, the applicant has the option to ACCEPT ('freeze') or DECLINE the offer.
  • If an applicant receives her SECOND or THIRD choice of institute, she can either ACCEPT ('freeze') the choice or accept with the option of being considered for upward movement ("float") the choice for the upcoming round(s), if any, of the joint seat allocation.

Otherwise, they'll stick with the current acceptable institution. Such applicants will be evaluated in later admissions rounds.
  • If a candidate pays the seat acceptance price and withdraws before the conclusion of the first round or before the end of the second round, he or she will receive a refund after deducting INR 3000 in seat cancellation and processing fees.
  • After the final round, no refunds will be granted. There are no refunds after the third round because there is no way to "float" the seats.
