UCEED 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The conducting authority define the UCEED eligibility criteria. Candidates who want to take the UCEED 2022 exam must meet all of the UCEED exam eligibility requirements. Those who do not meet the standards will be denied access to the online examination's subsequent rounds. Their candidature for the 2022 session may likewise be cancelled by the exam authority. Only those who meet the UCEED eligibility criteria 2022 are eligible to take the test.

Qualification The candidate should have passed in all subjects in the qualifying examination (Class XII or equivalent) in 2021, OR Should be appearing for the qualifying examination for the first timein 2022 in order to be eligible. Students from ALL STREAMS (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible. Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination (Class XII) in 2020 or earlier are NOT eligible.
UCEED Number of Attempts A candidate can attempt the exam a maximum of two times and that too in consecutiveyears.
The validityof marks card UCEED marks sheets will be valid for only one year and only for admission for the corresponding year.
Nationality of Candidates Both Indians and foreign nationals can appear for the exam. Candidates who are not citizens of India (by birth or naturalization) and whose parents are not citizens of India and do not come under PIO/ OCI category at the time of registering, will be considered as foreign nationals.

List of Qualifying Exams for UCEED 2022

Candidates who have registered for the exam must pass it. It varies depending on whether the person is an Indian or a foreign national; a list for each is provided below. Candidates should also review the UCEED reservation requirements (available on the official website) for further information.

For Indian Nationals

The following is a list of qualifying exams that meet the UCEED 2022 eligibility criteria for Indian nationals.

  • The 10+2 system's final examination, which is organised or recognised by the Central or State Boards, or the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)
  • The Joint Services' two-year training culminates with a final examination. Senior Secondary School Examination, organised by the National Institute of Open Schooling, with a minimum of 5 disciplines, is a wing of the National Defence Academy.
  • Two-year or intermediate H.S.C. vocational examination organised by a recognised Board or University by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) Pre-university examination organised by a recognised Board or University by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) Pre-university examination organised by a recognised Board or University by the Association of Indian Universities.
  • A three-year diploma from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or a State Board of Technical Education is required.

For Foreign nationals

The following is a list of qualifying exams that meet the UCEED 2022 eligibility criteria for foreign nationals.

Any public school, board, or university examination in India or abroad recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to the 10+2 system General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London, Cambridge, or Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) Level High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva

Eligibility Criteria for the B.Des Program at UCEED in 2022

In 2021 or 2022, the candidate must have passed the qualifying examination, which is a Class 12 board or equivalent. Candidates taking their qualifying exam (12th or equivalent) in 2021 should follow the following guidelines:

  • By the day of enrollment in the relevant admitting institute, they have finished all portions of their final test.
  • The admitting institute requires proof of passing the qualifying exam and meeting the eligibility requirements.
  • Assume that a qualifying board test just assigns letter marks, with no information on passing grades included on the grading sheet. A applicant should get a certificate from the board indicating a passing grade and attach it to the grade sheet.

Foreign nationals, including Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) and People of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholders, are classified in the Open category and will not be given any special consideration. The criteria outlined above apply "totally" to all applicants, including international nationals. Seats reserved for foreign nationals are surplus.

Exceptions

  • Candidates from the science stream, who have taken Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects, are eligible to apply to all four universities.
  • Candidates from non-scientific disciplines (arts, commerce, and science without mathematics, or Physics, or Chemistry) can apply to IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad, and IIITDM Jabalpur.
