OUCET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for admission to Osmania University, a candidate must meet the following requirements:

Domicile and Nationality

  • The candidate must be of Indian descent.
  • Only Telangana residents are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates must meet both local and non-local requirements.

Education Qualifications

  • Candidates must have completed a B.Sc., B.Sc., or B.Sc.
  • An analogous exam will have a passing score of at least 40%.
  • Candidates who passed the Bachelor's Degree examination with compartment and received at least 40% aggregate marks and passed the qualifying exam for SC / ST are also eligible.

Age Restriction

  • CET does not have an age limit (Self Financing).
  • For SC/ST and BC, the age restriction for getting a Fee Reimbursement is 34 years.
  • The maximum age for EBCs, minorities, and disabled people is 30 years old.

Seat Reservation for OUCET (CPGET) 2022

The OUCET (CPGET) Seat Allotment Reservation is as follows:

  • The seat matrix reserves 85 percent of the seats for local candidates, subject to various reservations and communities in effect.
  • The remaining 15% of seats are open to both local and non-local candidates.

OUCET 2022 Eligibility Criteria for Arts and Social Sciences Faculties

Aggregate: Candidates must have received a minimum of 40% in the aggregate of Part-II (or Part-I) for languages on the qualifying test.

Candidates who passed their undergraduate test in a compartmentalised format are also eligible. They should not, however, have received less than a 40 percent aggregate score in Part II.

M.A Theatre Arts Two Years Theatre Arts Any B.A/B.Sc /B.Com. Graduate (except oriental) with 40% marks. The candidates must have a minimum of two years of stage experience. The knowledge of Telugu is desirable. Candidates who are dumb, deaf or blind or stammer or Physically Handicapped are not eligible. Candidates qualified for the entrance test have to appear for an aptitude test.

Note:

  • Candidates with a B.Com are not eligible for the M.A. Economics programme.
  • Candidates with a B.E., B.Tech, B.Pharm, or other undergraduate degree are not eligible for language training.
  • Candidates with qualifications other than B.A./B.Sc./B.Com, such as B.E., B. Tech., B. Pharmacy, LLB (5 yrs), B.C.A., and others, must read the eligibility conditions carefully before applying to confirm their eligibility.

Qualification Criteria for Faculties of Science in OUCET 2022

  • Candidates must have completed the B.Sc., B.A., or equivalent course and passed the Part-II aggregate examination with a minimum of 40% (a pass in the qualifying examination is sufficient for SC/ST candidates) and studied the subject(s) listed in column(3) of the Table below as optional(s) at the bachelor's degree level.
  • Candidates who passed their bachelor's programme exam compartmentally with the required percentage of marks are also eligible.

In addition to the above, one of the following subjects must have also been studied as one of the optional in Part-II at the graduate level: Botany, Zoology, Genetics, Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Biotechnology.
However, for Biochemistry and Forensic Science courses, candidates with Physics as one of the optional, in addition to (1) above, at graduation level are also eligible.
Nutrition & Dietetics Nutrition & Dietetics The candidates must have studied Chemistry as one of the optional subjects in Part-II at B.Sc. level. In addition to the above, one of the following subjects must have also been studied as one of the optional in Part-II at graduation level: Botany, Zoology, Genetics, Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Biotechnology.
In addition to (1) & (2) above, the candidates must have studied any one of the following as optional subject at graduation level: Food and Nutrition, Applied Nutrition & Public Health, Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics and Food Science & Quality Control.

Note:

  • Candidates with a B.Pharm./B.Sc.(MLT)/B.Sc. (Nursing)/B.Sc. (Agriculture)/ B.Sc. (Home Science)/ B.Tech./ B.E. degree are not eligible to apply for M.Sc. programmes. However, any B.Sc. graduate is eligible for M.Sc. (Geo-Informatics), and any B.E./B.Tech. graduate is eligible for M.Sc. (Geo-Informatics) (Geography).
  • Candidates who have completed the B.Sc. (Chemical Technology) programme at Loyola Academy in Secunderabad are eligible for admission to the M.Sc. Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biochemistry programmes.
  • Candidates who have completed a B.Sc. in I Mathematics, Physics, and Computer and Information Science at University College for Women, Koti, Hyderabad. ii) Students who complete a B.Sc. (Computer Science Engineering) at Loyola Academy in Secunderabad are eligible for admission to the M.Sc. Computer Science programme. BCA candidates,
  • on the other hand, are not qualified for the M.Sc. Computer Science programme.
  • Candidates who have completed the University College for Women's B.Sc. in Biological Chemistry at Koti, Hyderabad, are eligible for admission to the M.Sc. (Chemistry) and BCBTESFSG&M programmes.

Reservation for in-service teachers/Laboratory assistants:

  • In-service Teachers / Labs are given two seats in each of the subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. Assistants who are sponsored by the appropriate authorities must present and pass the Entrance Test.
  • One seat is intended for teaching candidates, while the other is reserved for Lab assistants.

The following are the entry requirements:

  • Entrance Test: The candidate must pass the Entrance Test in the relevant subject(s).
  • Service: Candidates must have completed at least three years of continuous service.
  • The Director of School Education, Government of Telangana, will support teacher candidates. The Director of Higher Education, Government of Telangana, should fund the Laboratory Assistants. (This applies to Laboratory Assistants at Government and Government-Aided Private Colleges). A letter of approval from the Registrar, Osmania University, shall be filed for Laboratory Assistants working on Osmania University's campus and constituent colleges. Before enrolling in the course, such Teacher candidates/Lab Assistants must obtain a relieving order from their respective institutions, without which their admission will be denied.
  • M.Sc. Geophysics Supernumerary Seat: At the University College of Science, one supernumerary seat is designated for a nominee of the National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI).
