Eligibility Criteria for B.Des at NID DAT 2022: Qualifications in Education

Candidates who passed or will participate for the 10+2 examination in any discipline (Science, Arts, Commerce, Humanities, etc.) from a recognised board (CBSE, IB, ICSE, or equivalent) in the academic year 2021-22 are eligible for the NID DAT 2022.

NID DAT 2022 M.Des Eligibility Criteria: Qualifications in Education

Candidates must meet one of the following minimal qualifications in addition to meeting the age requirements to be considered for admission:

  • Candidates must have earned a Bachelor's Degree in any specialisation from a recognised university with a minimum of four years of study.
  • Candidates must have completed a full-time diploma programme in Design/ Fine Arts/ Applied Arts/ Architecture after completing 12th grade or an equivalent programme.
  • Candidates must have finished a Bachelor's Degree in any specialisation for at least three years after completing 12th grade or an equivalent.
  • Candidates in their final year of a Bachelor's degree/Full-time Diploma programme whose universities have not yet issued the final degree certificate are eligible to apply. In this case, candidates must ensure that they pass all subjects without any backlog and are able to submit a provisional degree certificate at the time of document verification for NID DAT 2022.

Exam Analysis for NID DAT 2022

NID DAT 2022: De-Reservation Rules

If seats in the OBC-NCL category remain empty due to a lack of eligible candidates meeting the minimum qualifying requirements or due to candidate non-availability, the seats will be de-reserved and allocated to candidates from the open category.

Vacant seats in the GEN–EWS, SC, and ST categories would not be made available to candidates from other categories.

Candidates should be aware that after the application deadline, the candidate's category selection will be deemed final, and requests to modify categories will not be accepted.
