ULSAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Students who want to enrol in the various law degrees offered by UPES, Dehradun, must take the ULSAT 2022 exam. Before applying for the exam, candidates must ensure that they meet the qualifying requirements. Candidates who do not match the required qualifying criteria should not submit their applications because they will most likely be rejected.

  • Candidates having a CLAT AIR of up to 10,000 / L-SAT India Percentile of 60 percentile or higher / 85 percent marks in the main five subjects in 10th and 12th grades (English is required) would be exempted from the ULSAT and will be invited directly for GD and Interview.
  • Candidates having a CLAT AIR of up to 10,000 / L-SAT India score of 60 percentile or more / 70 percent marks in 10th, 12th, and 12th PCM will be exempted from UPES-EAT, and admissions will be based on Merit Ranking for B. Tech LLB (Hons).
  • It should be noted that only 20% of seats will be filled through the Board Merit/ CLAT AIR/ L-SAT India Category, with the remaining seats being filled through ULSAT.

ULSAT 2022 Eligibility for Post-graduate Courses

Candidates willing to secure admission in the postgraduate courses offered by UPES can apply for the ULSAT 2022 examination. The eligibility criteria for admission in postgraduate law courses offered by the institute are as follows.

The entrance test ULSAT for PG-LLM has the pattern, the application and admission process similar to that of ULSAT UG.

  • The candidates must have passed the following with a minimum of 50% aggregate,
  • Higher & Senior Secondary level (X & XII) Or equivalent,
  • LLB Degree Or equivalent.
  • The LLM course is of a one-year duration.
  • The specializations offered in LLM are
  • Energy Laws,
  • Business Law,
  • International Economic Law and
  • Law & Technology.

For international students seeking admission to the postgraduate program (LLM), the equivalence for the undergraduate degree earned by the candidate in his/her country shall be obtained from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Students may be asked to receive the relevant certification from AIU in some situations. A GRE score of 1700 is the minimum percentage need for them (cumulative).

Eligibility for ULSAT 2022 for International Students

The ULSAT 2022 exam is also open to international students. The following are the requirements for international students.

  • UPES must be satisfied that candidates enrolling for undergraduate programmes have earned a higher secondary school diploma (with the required minimum percentage of marks) and completed the required courses to meet the program's eligibility requirements.
  • Students must have a minimum SAT score of 1500 for all LLB courses.
  • Students from non-English speaking countries must demonstrate appropriate English proficiency to UPES.
  • Before beginning the actual programme of admission, such students must agree to receive English language training for a particular period of time (depending on the proficiency to be assessed by UPES upon arrival).
  • Qualifying for the TOEFL/IELTS or similar may not be required, although it is strongly recommended for such students.
  • For the length of their studies, students must have a valid passport.
