ULSAT Overview

What is the ULSAT 2022?
ULSAT is the Law School Admission Test for admission to the University Of Petroleum & Energy Studies' 3 year LLB, 5 year LLB (BA LLB, BBA LLB, BCom LLB, BTech LLB), and LLM programmes. The admission exam is a computer-based test (CBT). The exam consists of multiple-choice questions. The exam pattern for LLM admission is different from that of the other law courses. Candidates that pass the ULSAT must next participate in group discussions and interviews in order to be considered for admission.

Qualified candidates are admitted to the UPES School of Law in the course of their choice (SOL). In the UG law courses, there are a total of 520 seats available. In addition, there are 70 seats available in the postgraduate legal courses.

  • From May 13 to 15, 2022, UPES is expected to conduct ULSAT 2022 for admission to integrated legal programmes, such as BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), and BCom LLB (Hons).
  • Language Comprehension, Quantitative & Numerical Ability, Logical Reasoning, Legal General Knowledge, and Legal Aptitude sections will all have questions.
  • Candidates' qualifications will be determined only by their performance in the examination, after which they will advance to the Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds, after which they will be eligible for admission to the university's courses.

Application for ULSAT 2022

The application form for the UPES ULSAT is only available online at the official website. There are also offline forms accessible. Candidates must select one of the following modes of admission when submitting their application:

  • ULSAT 2022
  • CAT / LSAT 2022
  • Board grades/marks

For either of the entrance processes, a single application form can be filled out. Students will be able to apply for admission using either of the paths provided by the university.

Candidates must register, pay the application money, and fill out the rest of the information in the online form in order to apply for the exam. The application cost is required to submit the form, which must be paid online.

Eligibility for ULSAT 2022

The minimal eligibility criteria for candidates to apply for ULSAT 2022 have been established by the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies. The criteria is given highest priority for the students to follow and apply for courses, LLB, LLM for admission under the institution, based on the specific aspects listed below.

For LLB Course:

  • Candidates for the LLB programme must have completed their class 12th or equivalent exam with a minimum of 50% in aggregate.
  • Candidates should aim for a minimum of 50% in their class 10th exam.
  • To be eligible, candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 1999.

For LLM Course:

  • A pass in class 10th and 12th exams with at least 50% aggregate marks is necessary for the LLM programme.
  • To apply for ULSAT 2022, a candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university.

Syllabus for ULSAT 2022

The ULSAT exam is administered by the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies to applicants who seek to enrol in one of the institute's legal programmes. The 10+2 level syllabus for undergraduates would include themes such as Language Comprehension, Quantitative & Numerical Ability, Logical Reasoning, Legal General Knowledge, and Legal Aptitude. Tips for ULSAT 2022 Exam Preparation

The ULSAT is a somewhat difficult exam. The curriculum must be covered in order to prepare for this test. The following are a few pointers to help you prepare for ULSAT 2022:

Exam Centers for ULSAT 2022

The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies has released the list of exam centres along with the release of the ULSAT 2022 application forms. However, due to nationwide lockdowns and the COVID-19 scare in 2022, the authorities have opted to administer the exam online using home-based centres.

Results of ULSAT 2022

In the fourth week of July, the university will release the ULSAT 2022 results in order to secure students' admission into various law courses offered by the institution. In the online form, the results will be available. To view the results, candidates must log in using their registered email address and password. The score and rank of the student in question will be included.

The institution will publish a merit list based on the score, which will include the names of qualified candidates who will be eligible for the university's group discussion and personal interview. The tentative dates are the 4th week of July and the 4th week of August, respectively.

Counseling Procedure for ULSAT 2022

Candidates that perform well on the exam will be given priority over others. Counseling and admissions will be conducted in two sessions by the exam administrators.

  • Candidates who have been shortlisted must report to the designated counselling sites.
  • Only if candidates report to the counselling centre for the admission procedure and document verification will their admission be finalized.
  • Candidates must pay the entrance fee, which is the last stage in the admission process, in order to secure a place.

Documents needed for the ULSAT 2022 Counselling

  • During the counselling process, several documents are required.
  • ULSAT 2022 Admission Form, Scorecard, and Admit Card have been completed.
  • H.S.C. / S.S.C. / Equivalent mark sheets and pass certificates from the Board of Secondary Education / CBSE / ICSE, as applicable.
  • In the prescribed format, parental or legal guardian consent is required for entrance.
  • Certificate of Character from the Head of the Last Institution Attended
  • If required, a migration certificate from the university or board where you last attended, as well as
  • A medical fitness certificate in the format prescribed.
  • Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, or School ID issued by a competent body are allowed as the identity proof.
  • If a candidate fails to show up for counselling, his or her admission will be cancelled, and the seat will be given to the next best candidate.
